These Marketing Hacks I Scribbled Down

Most new marketing tactics shared sound good, but are really garbage.

A lot of the stuff posted on Facebook and other public forums is done to gratify the sharer’s ego and make them feel smart.

Ignore those.

Here are the “worthy of consideration” marketing hacks I wrote down in my little notebook while attending four mastermind meetings as a guest expert in 2017.

(If you’re not participating in a mastermind group, you’re missing-out.)

Top One Mastermind

(1) The Houston Mastermind Meeting

  • Deploy segment-specific Facebook Ads in final 24 hours before campaign deadline.
  • Deploy Facebook Messenger Ads for order form abandons.
  • Yahoo, AOL, and Hotmail email addresses get lower deliverability. Broadcast to those emails separately from the rest of your list.
  • Include an”upgrade offer” for all payment plan buyers as part of post-sale sequence.

(2) The Connecticut Mastermind Meeting

  • Deploy segment-specific welcome videos for new clients/customers.
  • Deploy customized testimonial pages for different prospect segments
  • Send SMS reminder message to leads on final day of campaign

(3) The Nicaragua Mastermind Meeting

  • Include a “Commitment Page” upon webinar confirmation: one-minute video asking them to tell us what they will do with X (i.e. the promised webinar benefit)
  • Offer Amazon Pay as payment option on order forms
  • Work with partners to subsidize lead costs (e.g. share in lead costs and share leads)
  • Include SMS request as second step in optin process.
  • Country Club vs Restaurant: Boost continuity stick rate with higher up-front payment and low monthly/annual maintenance fee.
  • Mobile behavior is different. Dedicated mobile campaign pages boost response.

(4) The Orlando Mastermind Meeting

  • Deploy segmented offers based on Net Promoter Score.
  • Buy competitors info from AMEX and Mastercard
  • Resend broadcast emails to non-opens four hours later.
  • Share “Field Reports” of different client success stories, not just testimonials.
  • Test a “Pay What You Want” offer on the front-end
  • Give affiliates and promotional partners valuable content they can give away for free with their link embedded.

I used to think mastermind meetings were a waste. A bunch of people sitting around sharing more random ideas.

That’s certainly what some mastermind meetings may be.

But, when you’re part of a good mastermind group, something special happens.

You see things about your own business you would never see or understand on your own.

And you learn and grow much quicker because you have the benefit of group experience, rather than simply relying on your own trials and triumphs.

Plus, you bypass so much of the learning curve because you get the stuff already working for a whole group of people… rather than trying to figure everything out on your own, wasting time and money.

I love the way Karyn Greenstreet, President of Success Alliance, says it:

“Your mastermind partners give you feedback, help you brainstorm new possibilities, and set up accountability structures that keep you focused and on track. You have a community of supportive colleagues who brainstorm together to move the members to new heights. You’ll gain tremendous insights which improve your business and personal life.”

So, if you’re not part of a good mastermind group yet, you should rectify that ASAP. Go here to learn more about the TOP ONE Mastermind™.

Enjoy,
Todd 🙂
