Try this at the end of your next VSL, sales letter, or series of marketing videos.

Some copywriters refer to it as “The Friendly Ultimatum”. I like to call it the “Friendly Nudge”.

It’s a method of pushing on-the-fence prospects off the ledge and into action.

It’s been used for years. It’s simple to do. And it works.

Does your copy & email messaging lack pizzazz? Is your writing feel boring? Inside this new FREE REPORT from Mary Ellen Tribby, you’ll find 27 ways to spice up your writing & boost your sales!

There are two general schools of thought when it comes to crafting action-inducing call-to-action (CTA) copy for your marketing funnels:

* School Of Thought #1: Focus on the unique benefits and results your prospect stands to gain by taking action today.

* School Of Thought #2: Focus on the pain or problem that’ll be eliminated by the prospect taking action today.

The “Friendly Nudge” is a sort of hybrid of those two.

Here’s how it works:

Every marketing funnel should have multiple calls-to-action (CTA).

More often that not, before CTA #1 you probably share your strongest, most compelling promise/benefit for prospects to take action.

Then, you may continue with your next most compelling promise/benefit, give CTA #2, and so on.

Well, here’s what I want you to do, instead:

After CTA #1, instead of sharing another promise/benefit, remind the prospect of the pain they’re experiencing right now, that they no longer have to continue “suffering”, and what they’ll be missing out on if they don’t act.

In other words, remind them of their current predicament and show them what will NOT happen for them if they don’t take advantage of your offer (i.e. “You won’t have a steady flow of…”, “You’ll miss out on…”, “You won’t experience the excitement of…”, etc.)

Then, give your next CTA (#2).

Then you can go on to sharing the second most powerful promise/benefit your prospect will gain from your offer… followed by CTA #3.

The reason why this works better than a straight “Benefit-CTA-Benefit-CTA-Benefit-CTA” process is because your prospects are motivated by both the “gain of pleasure” and the “avoidance of pain”. And, the “Friendly Nudge” leverages both.

An easy way to immediately benefit from this little method…

Add an email to your prospect follow-up sequence focused solely around the “Friendly Nudge”.

Then watch how it pushes more prospects to take action.
